A PLAN TO REBUILD SYRIA IS NEEDED
I was asked for a practical solution for the Syrian refugee crisis. First, what is not the solution is for all or half of Syrian population to immigrate. That is not possible, and Syrians actually don’t want that. The solution is to help rebuild Syria, as Europe was helped to rebuild with a Marshall plan after WWII. To me, obviously, it must start with the immediate, fast but controlled, controlled but fast withdrawal of all foreign troops from the region AND the stopping and controlling of all arms trade and arms transfer to the region. Otherwise, conflicts, fight and war will continue. Canada, for example, has profited from the Middle East conflicts by selling, just in 2015, for 15 billion dollars weaponry to Saudi Arabia. That is a lot of money that could have helped Syria's total reconstruction. And that accounts for only one instance of Canada benefiting from the ‘’Middle East’’ conflict. US military industrial complex is just living on and feeding itself from conflicts and wars.
Once US-UK and allies, including our Canada, have their military troops withdrawn, and that can start right away if our political will is manifested as it was manifested for accepting refugees, people of the region will immediately start helping each other. Regional neighbours, Turkey, Russia, Iran, Lebanon will come to help Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, because they all live in the region and need peace, love, and stability. Other countries will join as well, like the rich State of Azerbaijan. They could even end up forming Unions, like did former ‘’enemies’’ in Europe. Without USA-UK and Nato troops in the region, Daesh will be annihilated in less than a couple of months, as if it had never existed before. And the reconstruction and peace movement plans will immediately start after. The new ‘’Islamic’’ states created by US-UK in Afghanistan and Iraq (unsuccessfully in Syria and hopefully unsuccessful with ISIS), will give place to a secular Western and Central Asian Union, in which even the Islamic republic of Iran can be seen changing to a secular regime.

And yes, why not, meanwhile many Syrians should also be welcomed to USA. UK, and Canada, lands of the trouble makers, and to Australia and New Zealand, main allies of the trouble makers, and also lands of immigration. Some Syrians could also perhaps be welcome to move to Europe, but not in the present form and in such numbers as it would look more like a brutal invasion than like a controlled immigration process.
However, Syrians are suffering by millions not by tens of thousands. The solution therefore cannot be mainly immigration or accepting millions of refugees. The solution is for us to ask our governments in Canada, US and UK to stop trying to dominate the world, politically, economically, and militarily, stop pushing for conflicts, stop pushing for regime change and creating chaos, stop pushing for more wars. The solution instead, is simply to help Syria and Syrians with a plan of Reconstruction, instead of throwing bombs and guns on them, instead of promoting and pushing for civil unrests. Syrian refugees would actually come back to help rebuild their country. And the programme of rebuilding the country should be controlled by the Syrian themselves or by the United Nations, not just by our greedy companies to be the main beneficiaries of such financial help.
Does such solution sound like compassionate and satisfactory? I just don't believe the destruction of Europe's social fabric through an imposed wild forced immigration is the best way one can view as to be compassionate. Europe being at this moment our best hope to save humanity from our moral degradation and from our ecological and environmental catastrophe, we better try to keep that hope safe and alive.
