WORLD MOVING TOWARDS A SOLUTION FOR SYRIA ?

UK-US establishments seem to have given up in trying to overthrow Assad by supporting the Islamist rebels. Recent development resulting from the US presidential elections and the present presidential election in France are some indication of a change in North Atlantic policy. In the past days, Islamic ‘’jihadi’’ rebels seem to be loosing ground in Aleppo, from what transpires from their own words, blaming a ‘’lack of hospitals’’. They are not receiving the same support from the Anglo-Americans. Videos and reports indicate civilians escaping from East-Aleppo towards the Syrian army and governmental liberated zone.

Egyptian government seems also to be aligning openly itself with Syrian government in fighting Islamic ‘’rebels’’ supported by Muslim Brotherhood that were kicked out from power in Egypt. Cairo doesn’t want to see an Islamist regime in Syria, and is probably now encouraged in doing so by foreseeing a favourable change in US policy after the defeat of Hillary Clinton who supported Muslim brotherhood, was a strong supporter of the Saudis and Qatar, and was fiercely anti-Iranian, also anti-Russian. It is claimed that Egyptian airplanes and helicopters relocated to an airport in Syria. Egypt has a large ground army and open sea access towards Syria. 

As a consequence of these latest new developments, one should expect an internal fight over Syria within the Saudi rulers.

Not least importantly, radical change is coming to France in terms of its Foreign policy! François Fillon, who handily won the Republican primary for the presidency, with 67% of the votes, and who seems to have the best chances to become next French president in May, as the polls indicate, has declared that France will by siding with Russia and trying to find a political solution in Syria with the participation of Iran.

As part of UK-US sanctions organized over Ukraine, France was not allowed to deliver two Mistral-class amphibious assault ship to Russia. They were, in the end, sold to Egypt. Now, equipped with Russian helicopters and electronics, it is rumoured that they operate with Russian officers on board! Quite embarrassing for President Hollande who supports the Jihadis in Syria, to see his “Egyptian” Mistrals come in support of the Syrian government under Russian command!

A report by Global Research, a Montreal based think thank, indicates there are currently some 4,000 Iraqi and some 4,000 Iran hired forces in Syria, and that 400 Iranian officers are there to advise and command those troops. According to the same report, Lebanese Hizbullah has send some 2,000 of its special forces Rizwan units. The Egyptian force will also have some 4,000 soldiers.

All these new developments might on another positive outcome come to help the European Union that is in verge of collapse over the mess created by the Anglo-American hypocritical moves in the Middle East, by the invasion of refugees into Europe, by the spread of Islamic totalitarianism in some European countries, and by the growing acts of Islamic terrorism in the past years.

Things start now to look better for Syria, and one can foresee a light at the end of the tunnel.
